Bio

Dale Engskov, ’81, excelled in Basketball while at Midland.  He set records in single-game scoring, single-season scoring, career scoring, career field goal percentage, single-game rebounds, single-season rebounding, and career rebounds.  Dale currently holds the records in season field goal percentage and season rebound average and is the second-leading scorer in Midland history with 1,676 points.  He is also a recipient of the My Draemel Award.  Since graduating from Midland, Dale has participated in Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) Basketball and is involved with the Omaha City Basketball League.  He has spent 10 years as a general agent for Lutheran Brotherhood Financial Services and is also vice president of the Nebraska General Agents & Managers Association.  Dale co-founded and is currently the president of the “Citizens’ Scholarship Foundation of the Heartland.”  He is a member of the Midland College Alumni Board, Midland Athletic Booster Club, Midland Athletic Endowment – Coaches Circle, as well as the Midland National Alumni Committee for the “A Vision Inspired” capital campaign.  Dale is inducted into the Midland Warrior Athletic Hall of Fame in recognition of his tremendous accomplishments.
