Bio
A five-sport letterman, Joe Chrisman graduated from Midland in 1948. Chrisman was a football standout on both offense and defense. He switched from fullback to quarterback and was the Warriors' leading passer. Chrisman played guard on the Warrior basketball team and earned the nickname "Trapper." He played brilliant singles tennis in the quarter-final match at the state meet in 1947, advancing to the semi-finals. The team won the NCC Championship in 1947. Chrisman was also a member of the 1946 NCC Championship golf team and a member of the track squad. He had a fifty-year teaching career in Nebraska and coached high school football. Chrisman is inducted into the Warrior Athletic Hall of Fame for his outstanding athletic achievements.
