Since graduation, Dexter has worked for Eastern Nebraska Human Services, Marrs Junior High School as an In-School Suspension teacher, and as a traveling physical education teacher for several area elementary schools. He has taught and served as an assistant coach of football, basketball, track, and soccer at Bryan Senior High School, and played in a men’s basketball league for five years. He is now a physical education teacher at Boys Town High School. Dexter was the recipient of an award honoring his service as a coach in the Metro Coaches Class A All-Star Game in 1989. For his excellence as a Midland athlete and his success as a teacher and coach, he is inducted into the Hall of Fame.
