Bio

Myron "Mike" Brock, '39, played football and basketball while attending Midland College. He lettered all four years as a member of the football team, serving as honorary captain his senior year. In the 1935 tussle with Hastings, he was called on twice for one-yard plunges, both resulting in touchdowns for a Midland win. As a sophomore blocking back, he called signals and was a good defensive player in breaking up passes and plays. Brock started as a quarterback in his junior and senior years. He led the team to a conference co-championship in 1938 and was named to the College All-Conference Team as a quarterback. Brock was also a four-year letter-winner in basketball. He played forward and guard and was known for being fast, a clever passer, and a faker. Brock was honored on various all-conference team selections. After college, he was a teacher and a coach and worked in sales, all in California. Brock is inducted into the Midland Warrior Athletic Hall of Fame for his outstanding athletic achievements.
