Leon Bracker served Midland as an Assistant Women's Basketball Coach for 37 years. Highly recognized and respected for his ability to teach the fundamentals of the game of basketball, Coach Bracker was an integral part of Midland's success on the basketball court. Consistently stressing the fundamentals was a key trademark of Midland basketball and it helped lead the program to over 700 victories. As a mainstay on the Midland coaching staff, Coach Bracker helped guide the women's basketball team to the national championship tournament eight times and to a season-end national ranking on 13 different occasions. Coach Bracker taught for 30 years in the Fremont Public Schools. Upon retirement, his hobbies include ranching, soil conservation, hunting, gardening, and fishing. Leon Bracker is inducted into the Warrior Athletic Hall of Fame for his commitment to Midland Basketball.
