Bio

Lon Allen, '65, lettered three years in baseball and four years in football during his Midland Lutheran College career. He set records for most passing yards in a game, 243, and for most touchdown passes in a season, 13, both in 1963. He ranks eighth on the all-time passing charts with 1,863 yards, averaging 116.4 yards per game. He received the Petrow Award in 1965. He went on to play backup quarterback for the Omaha Mustangs semi-pro football team from January 1965-May 1966. Allen is a retired teacher/coach/athletic director/assistant principal who lives in Omaha. He is inducted into the Midland Warrior Athletic Hall of Fame for his outstanding athletic achievements.
